Code of Conduct
applied by Ferrino in relation to its suppliers for the protection of labourers and working conditions
Over the past several years, in relations with its suppliers, in order to safeguard workers and environmental conditions in the workplace, Ferrino has undertaken preventative action for the purpose of avoiding the risk of exploiting child labour.
Even though situations of this type have never been found in the company, Ferrino consolidates its credibility and the trust of its clients as a righteous firm that is sensitive to problems related to sound development of underdeveloped countries and requires its suppliers to do the same by signing a self-regulating agreement that prohibits the use of labourers under the age of 15, as established by convention n. 138 of the International Labour Organisation issued in Brussels on September 22, 1997.
This convention calls for a Code of Conduct that prohibits forced labour or child labour for children under the age of 15. It also prohibits discrimination due to race, religion, political beliefs, or social status, and guarantees the right of workers to establish labour unions and organisations.
