Ferrino is located in San Mauro Torinese, in the 4000 m2 plant where 60 people work. This is where prototypes and designed and constructed: Ferrino believes it is important to maintain an internal research and development department for both technical and stylistic reasons.
Other internal production departments are dedicated to the products destined for public agencies, inspections, and customer service.
For the production of outdoor sports equipment, Ferrino selects reliable suppliers who operate with specific quality control plans.
Warehouses and logistics are outsourced.
Ferrino has obtained UNI ISO 9001 certification for its Quality System in Design, production, sales, and marketing of tents, backpacks, bags, sleeping bags, and accessories for outdoor sports and mountaineering. This certification attests to the quality of what has always been Ferrino's work method.
Furthermore, the company's commitment to the promotion of Responsible Tourism has allowed Ferrino to become a member of AITR and EOG, two of the foremost organization involved in spreading the word about the principles of responsible tourism among travellers.
Ferrino products range from hi-tech solutions destined for professionals - like article in the High Lab line - to tents, backpacks, and sleeping bags - that meet the needs of excursionists, campers, and travelers alike. Ferrino is also the exclusive distributor for leading brand name mountain accessories on the international market.
Ferrino is also specialized in field equipment for emergency situations : they are suppliers of the United Nations, Caritas, Civil Protection, the National Alpine Rescue Squad, and leading humanitarian organizations that operate throughout the world.
In addition to Italy, their number one market where the distribution network counts about 1200 retail stores - Ferrino is present on foreign market with an export that represents about 30% of the production.
Since 1870 until today, the Ferrino brand name has undergone many changes. Among these is a new generation of businessmen who flank Alberto Ferrino and Edoardo Rabajoli: people like Anna and Andrea Ferrino, Augusto, Giorgio and Rosanna Rabajoli, Alberto Calarco, an expression of the Ferrino and Rabajoli families, who are 50-50 partners in this enterprise.
