10th edition of Racchetteinvalle
(10.01.2010)Baldas, the snowshoe brand from Ferrino is sponsoring the tenth Racchettinvalle, an international snowshoeing event for athletes, amateurs and novices, which is being held at Pragelato (Turin), on Sunday, 7 February 2010.
Discover nature and the Olympic valleys on your snowshoes. This is the invitation of the 10th edition of Racchetteinvalle, which is taking place at Pragelato (Turin) on Sunday, 7 February 2010. The event is open to all, be they experienced athletes and snowshoers or just agile fans of woodland walks and snow-covered nature.
The former will be setting out as fast as they can to reach the podium of this great classic, which is valid for the Italian Championship as well as the European title. The latter, grown-ups and children alike, will be able to enjoy a splendid walk in a true paradise for nature-lovers and those who enjoy outings on snowshoes.
Racchettinvalle is therefore more than a great sporting event, which will also be shown live this year on Italy’s Rai3 TV channel. This unique occasion to enjoy a wonderful walk on the snow is also open to newcomers. In fact, Baldas is offering 800 pairs of snowshoes to the organisers, so that even those without their own pair, can still enjoy this magnificent adventure and try out an exciting sport as well as an unforgettable experience.
The race route starts and finishes near to the Olympic ski jump facility in Pragelato, following a 9 km ring along the cross-country pistes in a splendid setting of larch woods, then on to the entry of Val Troncea, followed by the village of Traverses before returning to Pragelato along the banks of the Chisone.
This great sporting celebration will also have the addition of the many prizes offered by Ferrino, not only to the winners but also to other participants. The race staff will be wearing Ferrino High Lab technical apparel, specially designed to provide mountain enthusiasts with technical performance of the highest level. This too is a way to reiterate Ferrino’s awareness of the need for more people to get to know and love the great natural world of the mountains.
