Skyrunning competition organized by the non-profit organization "Travel for Others". Proceeds are destined for the village school of Thame.

The founding members of the Travel for Others Association are on the editing board of the magazine "Montagnard", directed by Federico Acquarone. The Association unites fun and commitment, love for traveling and adventure with a careful consideration of social contexts. Among its objectives are solidarity projects in all sectors of society: instruction, health, training-employment, sport, and environment.

This is the case of the Everest Sky Race: a skyrunning competition for experts and amateurs, open to all. The competition — which successfully held its second edition in 2005 — takes place amidst the Himalayan slopes. It begins in the village of Namche Bazar (3449 m), winds through the various hamlets of the valley at about 4000 m (Kunjung, Kunde, Thamo), and arrives at the finish line of Thame (3900 m). The protagonists of the Everest Sky Race are the youth of the Sherpa, together with athletes from all over the world. Proceeds to benefit the construction the Thame village school: 5 teachers and 80 pupils.
