To continue along the lines of the philosophy of Ferrino, which has been working with mountaineers and explorers for many years, accompanying them in impressing feats and developing high-performance materials, Team Baldas and Innov-8 was created in 2009.
The Team, founded and coordinated by Giorgio Aprà, will be working alongside two cutting-edge companies with design affinities, to develop extremely efficient, lightweight materials.
Coupling an Innov-8 trail shoe, which can boast the record of being the lightest model in existence, to an equally light and high-performance Race model snowshoe from Baldas, we have obtained a truly competitive piece of equipment that, worn by the excellent group of athletes selected by Giorgio Aprà is bringing in amazing results.
The Race model snowshoe is a handcrafted model; careful changes, made by hand, to a standard polypropylene frame, in the centre of which is a thick nylon cord decking, which allows the shoes to be ultra-light and to have excellent elasticity on impact, for a dynamic structure that is always free of snow.
But let’s take a look at the athletes; many of them have been working with the teams of these 2 companies, while others are joining the project now. It isn’t important how they got here, what is important is that they are the ones who make a real difference and we are proud to present them and to thank them for the results that they are bringing in, certain that this is just the start of a great and thrilling adventure together.

MEN’S TEAM

Davide Milesi
Member of the Orobie Sports Club, born in Bergamo in 1964, and top-level international athlete. He was in the Italian team at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, where he ran the marathon, coming 50th.
3rd in the World Cup Marathon in Athens in 1995 and World Team Champion.
In 1993, he won the marathon at the Mediterranean Games in Narbonne, France with a time of 2.18.42.
