FERRINO PRESENTS ITS NEW 2012 WINTER COLLECTION AT ISPO
(24.01.2012)The firm is widening the range of its active safety devices in cases of avalanche with Airsafe, a device that enables a person to breathe for longer if buried under an avalanche, thus gaining precious time while waiting for rescue crews to arrive. The heart of the Airsafe system is a group of anti-freeze ball valves that can direct air flows so that oxygen-rich air and air saturated with carbon dioxide do not mix together, thus allowing the air present in the snow to be managed intelligently. The device is worn over the jacket with a rapid, ergonomic hooking system, and is provided with a silicone anatomical mouthpiece and with anti-choke tubes allowing natural breathing. The design was developed by Ferrino technicians with the collaboration of the Mountain Medicine Clinic Doctors of Aosta Hospital and the director of the SNATE, the National School of Mountain Rescue Technicians .
Two interesting multi-purpose and ultra-light models are added to the range of technical backpacks.
The aggressive looking HL RACE 18, has a minimal weight and specific features for use in ski mountaineering, with shovel holder pocket and crampon holder and front double ski holder. It also has ergonomic, breathable shoulder straps, compatible with H2 bag.
FURGGEN 25, on the other hand, is a small multi-purpose backpack devised for sports use and is the ideal comrade-in-arms for the winter mountain enthusiast since it is equipped with special removable tapes to allow snowshoes or snowboards to be carried, as well as having a front ski-holder. Like the previous model, it is fully provided with pockets, and also allows all the other equipment such as a shovel, probe, etc. to be carried.
