Last November, Ferrino Ambassador Luisa Balsamo runs Patagonia Racing The Planet.
It saw nearly 300 competitors run, walk and crawl across the Patagonian wilderness from the desert lake district through gaucho ranches to the Black Glacier Tronodor with record completion rate of 94%.
Luisa tells us about her experience in Patagonia.
“At the end of the Tor des Géants I was so emptied that I thought I could not even conclude the first stage in Patagonia, but the place is so fascinating and magical that it is impossible to witness defenceless in such wonder of nature.
Within a few kilometers I reached such a pleasant state of well-being that I left behind me every pain and every doubt about my physical condition. Because the race is just this: send away bad thoughts to make room for better thoughts, helped in this case by a natural spectacle of amazing beauty.
I could summarize by saying that an explosion of colors and spring smells have pervaded me to make me fly accompanied by a constant wind, crossing rivers and lakes in peace and solitude. It is where Patagonia lives and where sky and earth melt until they colors mix”.
