Ferrino Women's Team is running towards Adamello Ultra Trail

Trail running champion Lisa Borzani will select ten female athletes to join the running event in the picturesque Pontedilegno-Tonale area from September 22nd to 24th after several training camps

 An opportunity for female athletes

On International Women’s Day, March 8th, Ferrino announced an exciting initiative dedicated to female athletes and runners. The Italian brand is a long-term partner of the Adamello Ultra Trail, the prestigious international trail running event taking place this year from September 22nd to 24th in the stunning Pontedilegno-Tonale area (Northern Italy) on three different distances (170, 100 and 35 km). Ferrino Women's Team and Adamello Ultra Trail have collaborated to give ten athletes a chance to participate in the event.

Leading the selection and coaching the candidates is none other than trail running champion Lisa Borzani, a two-time winner of the Tor des Géants and a top-notch new entry in the Ferrino Women's Team. The Italian champion will provide trainees with useful tips regarding technique, fitness preparation, and race management in addition to valuable experience and motivation at several training camps organized in partnership with TRAILored4You.

The best ten athletes will be selected to represent the Ferrino Women's Team at Adamello Ultra Trail, with two wild cards for the intermediate 100km distance and eight for the shorter 35 km distance. Ferrino will provide its athletes with all the necessary equipment to tackle such a challenging trail running race, including passages that go over 2,000 meters above sea level. Ferrino's commitment to female athletes and trail running dates back almost ten years when the Women's Team was created, comprising high-level athletes and extraordinary non-pro sportswomen who are also mothers, workers, and students.
