FERRINO RENEWS ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH IED FOR THE GLITCH CAMP

Milan, March 2025 – Ferrino renews and strengthens its commitment to The Glitch Camp, the free urban camping initiative created by the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) during Milan Design Week. Following the success of the previous edition, Ferrino is tripling the number of tents provided, expanding accommodation opportunities for international students attending Design Week.

"I was delighted to accept the invitation to join the second edition of IED's The Glitch Camp project," says Anna Ferrino, CEO of Ferrino & C. S.p.A. "Camping and tents are at the core of our brand’s DNA, and I have always enthusiastically supported projects like this one, which promote the use of tents outside their traditional context. Offering low-impact and affordable accommodation should become a more widespread practice in cities, especially during major events. After last year’s great success, we have decided to renew our support for this initiative with strong conviction, tripling the number of Ferrino tents available to the organizers. This way, we expand hospitality and allow even more students to participate in an exclusive event like the Salone del Mobile, combining accessibility with a minimal environmental footprint."

New for 2025: The "Designing Togetherness" Public Program

This year, The Glitch Camp is enriched by Designing Togetherness, a series of side events designed to offer participants a cultural and educational experience. The program includes collective bread-making workshops, alternative sports that move beyond competition, as well as moments of conviviality, well-being, and live performances.

Among the new features, Ferrino introduces a workshop at the Enrico Cappelli Sports Center of Milanosport SSD S.p.A. dedicated to upcycling—a creative reuse process that transforms discarded materials into valuable new products. On Saturday, April 12, at the Atelier Upcycling by Ferrino, organized in collaboration with Mental Athletic, participants will have the opportunity to experiment with repair and upcycling, giving new life to worn-out camping tents under the guidance of Ferrino’s pattern makers.
