Pian dei Fiacconi, Caldenave and Toesca huts are the locations chosen to experience a summer dedicated to the outdoors, becoming, for one day, a Ferrino tester.
These are the three locations chosen for summer 2021 where you can test Ferrino tents, including those of the Highlab line. They are all in Italy on the Alps: the Toesca hut (Susa Valley, Piedmont), the Caldenave hut (Lagorai, Trentino-Alto Adige) and Pian dei Fiacconi hut (Marmolada, Trentino-Alto Adige). Three extremely different environments where you can live completely different experiences but united by the feelings of a night under the stars, in the middle of nature. From the 1700 meters of the Toesca and Caldenave huts to the over 2700 meters of Pian dei Fiacconi. From the Piedmont woods to the Trentino alpine meadows, up to the perennial glaciers of the Marmolada for an experience in total safety, contributing to the development of our products. The Ferrino Camps are our "en plein air" laboratories.
Those who sleep in our tents become testers for a day, leaving us feedback that will help us improve our line!
Experience Marmolada in a tent
The Pian dei Fiacconi hut, on the Trentino side of the Marmolada, it has been destroyed last December by an avalanche. “Today the hut is scattered around the Marmolada glacier” explains the manager Guido Trevisan. Impossible to reopen for the summer season. Here comes the idea of a tented camp. "Pian dei Fiacconi has always been a fundamental point of support for mountaineers and hikers on Marmolada", the tented camp offers the opportunity to continue to be that. "Visitors welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm: they have a point of support where they can stop, especially taking into consideration that the only other hut left is the Ghiacciaio Marmolada hut which has very few beds".
“I personally like the idea of a tented camp, where no new permanent structures are built" continues Trevisan. “Mountain tourism, in order not to become standardized, must avoid large fixed infrastructures. During high seasons, the possibility of using tents, as if you were in a base camp, is a wonderful solution that also allows you to experience mountains in a more natural way”.
