Noelia Herrera e Sonia Sanchez Rodriguez si aggiudicano il concorso proposto da Ferrino Iberia e parteciperanno al Tor des Géants nel Ferrino Women Team.

The spanish runners Noelia Herrera and Sonia Sanchez Rodriguez win the contest organized by Ferrino Iberia, and will take part in the 'Tor des Géants' with the Ferrino Women Team.

It hasn't been easy choosing one between many spanish runners who had taken part of the contest, dreaming with one of the most ambitious and hardest endurance trail of the world. Achieving a number as 'wild card' it's a dream coming true for many trailers: everybody knows that anyone can sign up for the Tor de Géants, but only few in the end are the chosen to make it to the Courmayeur starting-blocks in September.

After a careful selection of the Cvs, we are happy to embrace in the Ferrino Women Team the two winners of the contest: Noelia Herrera from Barcelona and Sonia Sanchez Rodriguez from Girona.

We've asked them few questions to get to know them better.

Tell us about you!

Hi! My name is Noelia Herrera Pua. I consider myself as a positive, extroverted and passionate for whatever contest held in the mountains and deeply in love with races on the highs. I've met many great personalities in this environment and I've learn important things from each one of them trying to put it in practice in my life. I hope I can do good to others.

I love traveling, learning about other cultures, and my biggest dream is 'getting lost' for a long term in the Himalaya meeting the people and their culture, etc. Climbing is one of my biggest passion.

Why are you taking part of the Tour de Géants?

I heard about TDG years ago. I remember that a friend of mine, he has already run in three edition or the Tor, spoke me with passion about the Valle d'Aosta, the people from there and the familiar atmosphere you can breathe through the whole week and what it means becoming a 'Giant'. I've read the official book so many times. I can almost point on the map specific places such as Cogne, Col du Loson, Entrelor, Malatra. In the end we planned to take part in it the two of us together with our families at Courmayeur this September, but I wasn’t so lucky in the draws. Thanks for the chance given.
