The winter season has started early. Since early November there is snow at low altitudes in the Alps.

Even the Toesca Refuge(1.710 m) and its unpolluted valley were covered by copious snowfall. In this way, before of the expected, the Ferrino High Lab Base Camp opens for the winter season 2019/20.

Breathing the fragrance of the recent fallen snow, enjoying the sky in its full splendour, surrounded by mountians, being sure to be close to the Refuge it's a unique experience, affordable to all those who wants to get away from the city routine and live an into the wild experience.

FERRINO HIGH LAB PROJECT MAKES 25 YEARS

Ferrino High Lab project makes 25 years. It was born in the far 1994 with the creation of a Research Lab with a permanent headquarters in Monte Rosa at the Quintino Sella al Felik Refuge (3.585 m), based on the idea that the mountaineers experience is essential for the development of high quality products. The result of these collaborations and of the numerous 360 ° tests is a range of products that meets the highest functional and quality standards, guaranteeing high performance in all weather conditions.                                                                                                                    

 

TEST THE FERRINO PRODUCTS

After spending the night in a tent, climbers are asked to complete a questionnaire. This will allow Ferrino to have direct consumer feedback on its products and to gather important information in the field that will then go directly to Ferrino's R&D department.

WHICH PRODUCTS CAN BE TESTED?

At the Refuge Toesca Base Camp (1.710 m) besides the tents of the Ferrino High Lab collection, it will be possible to test even backpacks and trekking sticks of the last Ferrino collections.

Among the different products it will be possible to test the new winter sleeping bag HL REVOLUTION 1200.

A goose feather sleeping bag of the High Lab line which thanks to its excellent heat resistance is suitable for winter expeditions. The thermal insulation of the bag has been strengthened thanks to the restyling and the extreme temperature extended from -40 ° C to -45 ° C, making the product even more performing. The women's comfort zone is at -13 degrees and the men's comfort zone at -22, perfect for nights in tents in the colder seasons.

WHERE IS THE TOESCA REFUGE?

Toesca Refuge(1710 m) – Val Susa (TO) - Piedmont - Italy

Ferrino base camp at the Toesca refuge is both for summer and winter. It's situated in Piedmont in the Val di Susa, municipality of San Giorgio and the ascent to the refuge is for everyone, on an easy path in the woods. The Toesca Refuge is one hour away driving from Turin, in the Rio Gerardo valley in the Municipality of Bussoleno, in the Orsiera - Rocciavrè Park.
