This trail holds significant environmental, cultural, and historical importance: a journey through memories to reflect and contemplate.
The "Sentiero della Pace" follows the front line of the First World War in what was the western sector of the Italian-Austrian war, fought between 1915 and 1918. The trail spans approximately 604 km, from Passo dello Stelvio to Marmolada, connecting glacier peaks to alpine valley floors. It creates an extensive network of paths allowing hikers to reach forts, strongholds, cut valleys, military roads, and trenches prepared by the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies during the First World War.
During the Trento Film Festival, the remapping of the trail, curated last summer by the Va' Sentiero team, will be presented. This will be followed by a public trekking day with moments of historical, cultural, and scenic insights along a stage in Alpe Cimbra, from Luserna to Passo Vezzena.

8:30 am - Meeting in Piazza Marconi in Luserna. Trekking departure.

Points of interest along the trail: Forte Luserna, Trenches, Forte Busa Verle.
Packed lunch
1:30 pm - "A (s)ragionar di guerra" performance by the Gli (S)legati company at Forte Busa Verle
4:00 pm - Return transfer to Luserna (free, dedicated to participants who left their cars at the starting point)
Useful Information
The trekking on May 5 will be led by professional guides from the Va' Sentiero team and Roberto Genovese from Trentino Marketing. Transport to the starting point and from the endpoint is the responsibility of individual participants. Participation is free and open to all adults and accompanied minors; each participant is fully responsible for themselves. In case of rain, the event will be canceled.
