2023. An unforgettable year for Giulia. First, her wedding, then taking part in the UTMB - Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc, the race she has been working towards since she began to take trail running seriously. That isn’t to say that she has missed out on excitement and important steps so far, however. Her move - for love - from the Po Plain to Gressoney La Trinité, in Valle d’Aosta, where she had spent her holidays since she was a child, was the key. She then discovered mountain climbing, skialp (still one of her great passions) and running amidst nature. Always going at full pelt, pushing the bar higher every time.

Of her career, Giulia remembers two editions that she completed of the Tor des Géants and her participation in the Monterosa Sky Marathon, from Alagna Valsesia up to 4,554 metres on Capanna Margherita (and back again). “ I love races where you compete in pairs, as that is when complicity and sharing come into play, I always get excited when I reach Capanna Margherita, where each time I’m in the race, I get my phone out to take a picture of such a special moment”, she says.

Giulia does not love running while listening to music: "I prefer the sound of my efforts, which lets me know how I’m doing, whether I should slow down or if I can pick up the pace”, she says.

Giulia works as a receptionist in the hotel that belongs to her future husband's family and lives in a house that can only be reached on foot Here she sets up the hammock on her balcony and loves reading, especially thrillers by Joel Dicker. Alternatively she likes drawing, which is another passion she intends to spend more time doing. But before all that, her honeymoon awaits. Where? In the US National Parks. She will visit them while running with her husband. Because there is nothing better than sharing your passions with the one you love.
